Further questions about Mr. Orange! A cop undercover, would
he have been charged with the crime he committed, had he not have died in this
film? Would the case of the woman and Mr. Orange be investigated further or would
he be let off scot free? Also the lady shot back, if she wouldn’t have died
would she have been charged with shooting an officer, although she was not
aware of his title for he was in disguise?
I think if you are an undercover cop you get immunity from any crime you commit during your stint. The woman would not have been charged either since she fought back in defense.
ReplyDeleteI am certain there would be an investigation, but I agree, I don't think he would have been found guilty of murder. Would he have been suspended? Perhaps, but his actions were understandable in that he did it on instinct.
ReplyDeleteIt sucks that we don't know if the woman died or maybe survived. I don't think Orange would have done time for his shooting. Partly because one could argue he is a cop and he could get away with it. There's even that chance of immunity as mentioned.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I don't believe Mr. Orange would have been charged as he was undercover. I don't know if the woman was killed as she was shot in her right shoulder. They were armed and fleeing the scene of a crime, so I don't see how she could have been charged. There is no way she could have known that Orange was a cop. The police would have to investigate further into the whole scenario, but more than likely they would both be not guilty given the situation. The movie never showed anymore as far as that is concerned, so there is no absolute correct answer.
ReplyDeleteHe would Not be charged for a crime.... he was responding to a real threat. There are so many undercover cops who do so much more in order to stay in cover. I don't think he did that much.
ReplyDeleteDo you think he reacted the way he did as a cop? Or, rather, as his undercover criminal persona? Just from movies I imagine cops to uuusually be more calm and convince the other person to put the gun down. But, in this instance, it wasn't even a second thought just a almost natural reaction.
ReplyDeleteI think Mr Orange reacted the way did to stay undercover, he actions shows he was concealing his identity.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I got the feeling he wasn't all that good and that the "gang" was rubbing off on him. He shot Mr. Brown (or so we are led to believe - bullet hole in head) and then didn't attempt to try to diffuse the situation with the lady. I think if he survived he wouldn't even have confessed to any of it,but blamed the other guy.
ReplyDeleteWhen the officer is undercover, he pretty much has the freedom to do whatever it takes not to blow his cover. If he hadn't done what he did, they may have realized he was suspicious. Plus it would be pretty easy to blame it on one of the dead gangsters. It was their job to kill and commit crimes, and they aren't alive to defend themselves.
